...............

Update about me:

I have trouble keeping food down.

Faith in the United States Government today is falling each day. The Neo-Conservative Republican party has taken a turn for the worse in recent years and policy has become a sick and ineffective mixture of tax cuts, extravagant spending, expanding government bureaucracy, and a foreign policy that is continually leeching American money from America and forcing us to borrow money from China to fund nation-building and world-policing exploits.

The founders' advice to future generations was to avoid all of this. There is no way that any of the original drafters of the Constitution would EVER have imagined that there would be a time in our country's future where Americans would end up giving nearly half of their earnings to the government.

The solution: A radical change in the current ideas of what the role of Government ought to be in the United States. A close examination of the Constitution reveals a need for a strong people, not a strong Government. President Bush has turned a blind eye to this principle. He has empowered the federal arm's grasp to invade the privacies and suspend the civil liberties of the American people.

Dr. Ron Paul, candidate for Republican Presidential nomination, offers hope for America. To turn back to the founding principle of freedom and liberty. During his lifetime, he has served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force, delivered over 4,000 babies as a civilian doctor, and served a distinguished 15 years as a Texas Congressman during which he never, NEVER voted to raise taxes. He is a man of his word and has never "changed his mind" on political principle. He is a family man, having a wife of 50 years and five children.

Dr. Paul's political philosophy is derived from the Constitution first and foremost and the Founders' ideals for the American nation. A vote for Paul is a vote for freedom, liberty, and the power of the American citizen.

A video about Dr. Ron Paul

Get out and vote in the primaries this February 5th, 2008, and make your voice known. A strong people voting for freedom can overcome a growingly oppressive federal regime.

So who is voting for Dr. Ron Paul?

Inform yourself. If you're willing to read movie reviews and watch trailers on apple.com, is it too much to ask that you spend a few minutes learning about the government and developing an informed opinion?

I am a sick, sick man...

I am so eager and anxious for tomorrow...

Because tomorrow is leg day. Yes. That day each week when I will push myself to the brink for a full hour and breath hot, moist, sweaty air. Fight back the urge to vomit as I crush myself under the weight of steel and iron. Resist the temptation to fall to the floor and give up. Feel the sharp knurling of a cold metal bar tearing into my neck and back... I can't wait. I can't wait to push to total exhaustion. To punish the iron. To fight both it and myself. To grunt and yell, to dig deeper than last week... to feel nauseous and burp up my stomach contents so I feel well enough to do more. To go low. Touch my butt to the ground and push back up. To feel that deep, intense burning pain all the way into my bones...

I can't freaking wait. Tomorrow will be amazing. Incredible. Tomorrow is leg day.

A day in the life...

Some of y'all may have noticed that I've gotten a little bit bigger in the past 6 months or so. I'm not taking steroids, I can assure all of you. I do lift weights a few times a week. The biggest change has been in my DIET. Diet is the difference between average Joe who lifts weights a few times a week and a bodybuilder.

What do I eat, you might ask? Well here it is. An average day of food for me.

Wake up, 6 egg whites, 2 whole eggs, and either 1/2 cup of corn grits or 1 full cup of rolled oats. 8oz skim milk.
Three hours later, a protein shake consisting of 60g of some kind of dense carbohydrate (Waxy Maize Starch is my favorite) and 48g of whey protein.
An hour after that, a half pound of some kind of beef (I prefer steak) and about 50g of some carbohydrate (I prefer brown rice or whole wheat pasta)
Two to three hours later, maybe a can of tuna and a bowl of brown rice.
Two to three hours later, 8oz of chicken breast and a plate of whole wheat pasta.
Two to three hours later, maybe a half cup of cottage cheese on whole wheat toast with peanut butter.
Before bed, a shake made of 1/2 cup of ground steel cut oats, 40g of powdered milk proteins, 2tbsp peanut butter, and 12 oz of skim milk. Shaken, not stirred.

So five solid meals and two liquid meals. And I'm still always hungry. So it's not steroids. It's just food. And a lot of it.

So to all the skinnies out there who piss and moan "I just can't gain any weight" I pose this question: Are you eating more than just a chocolate croissant and coffee, or part of a cheeseburger from In & Out at each meal? Because if not, then sorry to break it to ya but you're stuck skinny.
